Surfing Cobquecura has more than 50 km. of beaches and it is known for its variety of beaches apt for world-class surfing. In early February, Cobquecura hosts the National Surfing and Body Boarding Championship (Campeonato Nacional de Surf y Body Board). One can visit a different beach every day of the week (Buchupureo, Mure, Piedra Alta and Rinconada).
Nature Preserve Within proximity of the beach lies a series of rock outcroppings with a large colony of 1,800 sea lions (Otaria byronia) that seek refuge in rock formations.
Eco-Tourism The incredible diversity of fauna and flora, coupled with the breathtaking views of beaches and lush forests and hillsides, make Cobquecura a perfect place for eco-tourism.
Cultural Heritage Known for its arquitecture form XIX century “Spanish colonial tile roof ” colonial buildings and considered a cultural patrimony.
Cobquecura was declared a National Monument due to its unique architectural style that mixes stone structures of pre-hispanics cultures and European architecture.
